NEW U.S. HIT GAME SHOW
POWER OF 10
COMING SOON TO CHANNEL NINE
The Nine Network announced today it has signed an exclusive deal with Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) for the format rights to its new hit game show POWER OF 10.
Hot on the heels of Nine signing the deal for the hit variety show THE SINGING BEE, comes another win for the Network, with the acquisition of the hottest new game show in the United States that delivered nearly 10 million viewers in its premiere episode last week.
The U.S. version of POWER OF 10 is hosted by Drew Carey, but Nine will be producing its own local version to be presented by a yet-to-be-announced Australian talent.
Screening on CBS in the United States, Michael Davies is the executive producer of POWER OF 10, for Embassy Row in association with Sony Pictures Television.
POWER OF 10 is a high stakes, high-tech, adrenaline-filled game show that puts contestants through the ultimate test to prove whether they’ve got their fingers on the pulse of the nation and redefines appointment television.
The show will reach out across Australia to poll thousands of people on topics from politics to pop culture with big cash prizes for the contestant who can most accurately predict how the Australian public will respond.
POWER OF 10 will premiere on Nine in 2008.
