Rikki comes to stay at Emma’s house and stirs up the family unit by messing up the order of things. In trying to compete with Rikki, Emma tries to rebel and throws a party.
Meanwhile Lewis wants to know why Cleo broke up with him; concerned that he’s not masculine enough for her. Nate uses this to put pressure on Lewis, teaching him karate but at the same time, Nate makes a play for Cleo. The party gets out of hand when one of Emma’s mother’s figurines is smashed, Lewis confronts Nate and Emma is drenched in front of everyone. In the end, Emma proves she is a rebel – well, almost.
Emma, Rikki and Cleo are teenage girls with a secret – they’re still mermaids! The girls deal with out of control super powers, magical mishaps, and crushes on boys. When new girl Charlotte crashes the scene, everything changes. Charlotte’s ambitious, determined and wants to become a mermaid herself.
