The nib Coolangatta Gold is the toughest Ironman and Ironwoman race on the surf lifesaving calendar, testing endurance, fitness and skill.
Competitors from all over the country line up to take on the ultimate challenge, with the men battling it out over 46.65 km course and the women taking on 30.5 km. Each competitor completes a surf ski, board, swim and run leg over some of the toughest conditions in Australia along the spectacular Gold Coast.
With more than $200,000 in prizes on offer, competitors put it all on the line for the chance to be etched in surf lifesaving history.
