A fifteen-year-old girl dies of a suspected heroin overdose, but fingerprints on the needle suggest she may have been murdered.
DC Mickey Webb (Chris Simmons) and Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) discover the girl was a runaway from Leeds, whose mother tells them she rang the previous night to say she was scared and wanted to come home.
The trail leads to an ex-boyfriend who apparently brought her to London, and Webb and Masters worry for the safety of another underage girl he now has in tow.
