At Goulburn Police College in new South Wales, 388 new police recruits celebrate their graduation. after eight gruelling months of training they are about to hit the beat for the first time.

Among the recruits is 19 year old Probationary Constable Vanessa Cook, who’s been posted to the state’s busiest command, Sydney’s City Central. Vanessa’s skills as a rookie cop are soon tested as she deals with a serious stabbing.

Newcastle lad, Chris Swadling, has been posted to the same local area command. his crew suddenly get called out to a code red job. Without any idea of what awaits, Chris dashes to the scene. at the same time another group of hopefuls are starting their journey at Police college.

Ces Barazza will be away from his wife for the first time and anthony toomey is leaving a promising league career to follow his lifelong dream of joining the force.

Musician tula Small arrives with guitar in hand, but it’s not long before she starts playing off key. If they stick the course, it’ll change their lives forever. But some won’t last the distance.
