Some new neighbours are moving in to Aussie Gold – Kingswood Country is the legendary Australian comedy about life with the Bullpitt family, headed by the irascible, conservative, bigoted, putty factory worker Ted Bullpitt (Ross Higgins).
Ted’s life revolves around three things: his beloved chair in front of the TV, his unsuccessful racing greyhounds and his worshipped Holden Kingswood car. Ted’s traditional views are constantly at odds with his children’s progressive nature; sex-mad medical student son Craig (Peter Fisher), his married feminist daughter Greta (Laurel McGowan) and her Italian husband Bruno (Lex Marinos), to whom Ted strongly objects.
Peppered with magic one-liners that are cemented in the Aussie lingo such as ‘Pickle me grandmother!’, ‘You’re not taking the Kingswood!’ and ‘Leave your money on the fridge’, Kingswood Country joins THE COMEDY CHANNEL’s line up of iconic Aussie Gold entertainment which also includes Graham Kenedy’s Blankety Blanks, Big Girls Blouse, Fast Forward’s Funniest TV Send Ups, The Games, The Norman Gunston Show, The Comedy Company and Jimeoin.
