State of Origin Wrap 2009

Tonight The Footy Show will take viewers deep inside the New South Wales and Queensland bunkers, with exclusive access from the opener to this year’s State of Origin series in a special edition live from Melbourne at 9.30pm on Channel Nine.

State of Origin Queensland great Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin and New South Wales’ most successful coach, Phil ‘Gus’ Gould, along with Andrew ‘Vossy’ Voss, will be joined by guest host Melbourne Storm halfback Cooper Cronk, to dissect all the on-field action. Gus will analyse Origin 1 in the way that only he can, while Cronk will also talk about the Storm’s preparations ahead of tomorrow night’s anticipated clash against the Brisbane Broncos.

Triumphant Maroons’ interchange player Ben Hannant will join the panel to give his insight into Queensland’s 28-18 win against New South Wales. Meanwhile, Blues’ debutant Terry Campese will also appear live to talk about his first taste of Origin.

Following last night’s Origin 1 encounter, The Footy Show cameras will take viewers behind the scenes before and after the game, capturing all the emotion and drama from inside the sheds, including exclusive interviews with the Blues and Maroons.

Also on The Footy Show tonight, Queensland assistant coach and 34-match Origin legend Allan ‘Alfie’ Langer joins the panel to go through the Queensland victory and explain why he thinks the Maroons can win a record fourth straight series. Outspoken Brownlow medallist Jason ‘Aka’ Akermanis drops in to give us his take on last night’s bumper Origin clash. Aka will also try his luck in The Footy Show’s So You Think You Can Play? segment.

Plus David ‘The Wolfman’ Williams like you’ve never seen him before, and in-depth analysis of this weekend’s seven NRL games.
