Ratings Order Wednesday July 8 2009

Here are how shows performed on Wednesday, July 8th, 2009 between 5.30 and 10.30pm. This is week 28 of the official 2009 ratings period.

Last night, channel 9 became the Michael Jackson network with all regular programming from 7pm till 11pm being held over in favour for a replay of the Michael Jackson Memorial Concert as well as Michael Jackson in Concert. It didn’t help their ratings though. Possibly not helped by 7HD also airing a repeat of the concert last night.

SBS gets its highest share in a long time with the Ashes last night. We don’t often see SBS 3^rd in a prime time time slot, but that happened from 9.30 last night.

Channel 7 again won last night, making it 4 7 wins in a row this week. Given they are nearly 4% ahead of 10 and 9, the week will go to 7. 9 and 10 will fight it out for 2^nd. While Masterchef continues to do extremely well for 10, their later night programming is bringing them down.
