Australian Idol opened with Suzi Quatro performing her best known hit “Devil Gate Drive” – a song out long before most of the Idols were even born!
Shortly after the performance, the bottom 3 were announced based on the popular vote.

Before the first ad break, Tim was declared safe.
Following the ads, it was announced that the first elimination was:

The top 11 went on to perform in “Rock Night”, with Suzi Quatro as both mentor and guest judge.

Tim Johnston scored 18 votes, making him the 4th lowest. The poll result is very similar to the final outcome on the show. We’ll reset the poll again with the final 11, and see how close Throng voting comes to the final result.
