Australian Idol Top 12

Last night on Australian Idol four more contestants were added to the eight who had already made it from the semi final’s rounds the week before last.

Two were chosen by popular vote: Hayley and Toby

And two more were chosen by the judges:  Casey and Tim

So the Australian Idol top 12 is:

Stan Walker
Kate Cook
Ashleigh Toole
Nathan Brake
Sabrina Batshon
Scott Newnham
James Johnston
Kim Cooper
Hayley Warner
Toby Moulton
Casey Barnes
Tim Johnston

Each week, one will be eliminated until the final week late November where the Australian Idol for 2009 will be announced. First top 12 elimination is next Sunday at the start of the show. The remaining 11 will sing again, we get to vote, and then another is eliminated the following week. Note that voting is only open on the night of the show until 3am eastern time that night.

Let us know who you think will be the 2009 Australian Idol by voting in our Throng poll. So far, the results of Throng polls have been the same as the popular vote.

Australian Idol airs on Ten Sundays at 6.30pm and is live in the eastern states.

    Based on our Throng Poll, looks like Casy Barnes will be the first to go. Ashleigh, Kate, Sabrina and Toby are all lloking like candidates for the bottom 3.

    i have enjoyed watching and listening to you over the past few weeks and am very dissapointed that i wont get to hear more of you as i feel we did not get to see the best of you while lesser talents still remain in the competition all the best for the future and know that some of us will be waiting and watching for your record as im sure you will record in the near future . so all our thoughts are with you ash goodluck and hope to hear you soon .

    if they were judged on their performance last week then for me scott would be the next one to go as i thought his was a very ordinary performance looks like they finally took away the electronic support and for the first time we heard him unassisted the real scott but i bet the votes don`t reflect this , i guess we`ll just have to wait till sunday night

    Due to the schedule change, P!nk Night has been moved to Oct 4. Sunday Sept 27 will be 80′s night.

    Not sure why a time slot change affects the theme, but that’s what 10 have told us!
