Nine last week during their east coast tour confirmed that Hey Hey It’s Saturday will be back in 2010. Daryl Somers – host of Hey Hey also signalled the show’s return for 2010 on the its Facebook page which now has over 390,000 fans.
Hey Hey’s 2010 run will begin in April and run for a season of around 20 episodes. Previous reports had suggested 10-15. The show will still be called Hey Hey It’s Saturday and run in the Wednesday night timeslot that saw Hey Hey gain success in 2009.
Molly Meldrum, however, will not be seen on the new Hey Hey in 2010 as he has signed an exclusive deal with channel Seven which will not allow him to take part in commitments outside of Seven. Several other key personalities including Red Symons may also not be able to take part in Hey Hey due to contractual obligations elsewhere.
The final details including those who will be part of Hey Hey in 2010 are yet to be confirmed.
