dirtgirlworld is a celebration of life outside. dirtgirl grows awesome tomatoes, knows the names of clouds, drives a big orange tractor and has a backyard full of friends. There’s scrapboy, her best friend who’s a whiz with junk. There’s grubby with her worm’s eye view, ken the weevil, roger the rooster and the chicks, hayman the monosyllabic scarecrow, and the green thumbs – real kids in real gardens having fun.
Episode 32: Scrapbox Racer – Monday April 19 at 8:00am on ABC1, Monday, April 19 at 1.30pm on ABC2 The race is on after scrapboy unveils his latest project: scrapbox racers! They’re made out of scraps and scrapboy makes one for dirtgirl and challenges her to a race around dirtgirlworld.
dirtgirl paints her racer red with black spots, like a ladybeetle. dirtgirl loves ladybeetles because they are so important to have in the garden but will her ladybeetle racer propel her over the line in front of scrapboy.
Episode 33: Pollination- Tuesday April 20 at 8am on ABC1, Tuesday April 20 at 1:30apm on ABC2 Ken the weevil wants his own garden but would prefer that there not be any bees. dirtgirl teaches Ken that bees are essential to a beautiful garden. dirtgirl and scrapboy build Ken his very own terrarium garden.
