The fight for the Gold Logie is getting interesting with a surge of support coming for Home and Away stalwart Ray Meagher.
Packed To The Rafters star Rebecca Gibney is still the favourite to claim back to back Logies but the sentimental favourite appears to be the Bay’s Alf Stewart.
Gibney’s odds at Sportingbet have lengthened to $1.60 while Meagher has closed to $3 to take the coveted award at the ceremony this weekend.
Entertainer Rove McManus is at $8.50, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation host Shaun Micallef follows at $11, with Adam Hills of Spicks and Specks at $14. Outsiders are Wil Anderson, Esther Anderson, and Paul McDermott.
“It looks to be a two-horse race, with Rebecca the firm favourite, but there is a lot of momentum for Ray,” Sportingbet Australia betting manager Bill Richmond said.
The 2010 TV Week Logie Awards will screen on Channel Nine on Sunday May 2.
