Australia’s Next Top Model is yet to hit screens but the drama has already started with one contestant using the show to slam her ex-boss.
Queenslander Kimberly Thrupp has spoken out against her former boss at Meter Maids on the Gold Coast for allegedly firing her when she asked for time off and for the “s**ty” pay.
The dispute has spilled over onto the pages of the Gold Coast Bulletin with Meter Maids owner Roberta Aitchison hitting back at the Top Model contestant saying she defied the rules set out by the company by getting tattoos on her back.
“People think we put money in the meters but we don’t … and you get paid s**t,” Thrupp said on the Top Model set.
“Thank frig for that. I’m not a meter maid any more.
“Suck on that Roberta.
“I hate that lady. She fired me because I asked for Good Friday off.”
Aitchison claims the reasons for her dismissal were different.
“The reason she stopped working for me was because of some of the things she was doing … weren’t lady-like,” Ms Aitchison said.
“I tried to pull the Toowoomba out of her.
“One thing I don’t want for the girls is to get tattoos, so she went out and got five star tattoos on her back.
“I have done everything for that girl and I just can’t believe it, I’m astounded.”
The new season of Australia’s Next Top Model premieres on FOX8 on July 20.
