SUNDAY, JUNE 13 – Season 2, Episode 48
Australia’s first MasterChef Julie Goodwin returns to the kitchen, and sets tonight’s mystery box for the contestants. It’s back to basics with Julie’s signature lamb as the key ingredient.
The winner of tonight’s mystery box gets the advantage in an invention test with a twist. The contestants must recreate a modern version of an Aussie Icon, and the contestant who won in the mystery box gets to pick the core Australian inspiration. Will they go for a chico roll, an Iced VoVo or a Golden Gaytime?
MONDAY, JUNE 14 – Season 2, Episode 49
Tonight’s pressure test is a classic 70’s dish, a Beef Stroganoff with Pasta. Now in the Top 10, the pressure tests are harder than ever and this time there is no recipe, no ingredients list, and the three bottom contestants have just one hour to recreate the dish!
TUESDAY, JUNE 15 – Season 2, Episode 50
Head chef at Melbourne’s new restaurant Maze, Josh Emett has spent the last ten years of his career training under the legendary Gordon Ramsay. A competitive chef, he has a difficult dish in
store for the contestant to recreate.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16 – Season 2, Episode 51
In the weekly challenge away from the MasterChef kitchen, the two teams tonight have arguably one of their most difficult tasks in store as they take to the skies.
Each team needs to devise and prepare a three course meal suitable to be served to business class passengers travelling on a plush International flight.
Creating a restaurant quality meal for whilst working in the parameters of a completely different
environment will test the contestants to their limit but on hand is guest mentor Neil Perry to give
them some essential tips.
THURSDAY, JUNE 17 – Season 2, Episode 52
The winning team from the airline cuisine challenge are treated with a gorgeous lunch at one of
Sydney’s fanciest French restaurants Assiette and a masterclass from chef Warren Turnbull.
The losing team all go into the elimination challenge. Everyone must try and name ingredients
in a carrot cake, and the stakes couldn’t be higher as one contestant must leave MasterChef for
good.
FRIDAY, JUNE 18 – Season 2, Episode 53
George’s barramundi and lamb and the ultimate hash brown are on the menu tonight. In addition,
Gary has an homage to the Golden Gaytime, and Julie Goodwin cooks up scallops with cauliflower
puree and bacon crumble.
