Rove McManus is close to securing a fulltime gig on US television after making the move to Los Angeles.
The Australian comedian has filmed a pilot for a new comedy talk show on daytime TV for CBS, who is developing the series.
With a working title of Say It Now, the show’s first outing involved actress Valerie Bertinelli who appears on the hit new sitcom Hot In Cleveland.
It is believed the show is being lined up to replace long-running soap As The World Turns which has run on the network for 53 years.
Rove made the move to LA following the cancellation of his Australian show by Ten. He has been doing the rounds in the US performing at various comedy gigs and will next appear at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Canada.
