Seven: RSPCA Animal Rescue back. Tuesday and Thursday programming updates.

Looks like Highway Patrol on Seven Monday July 26 was only a one off again as RSPCA Animal Rescue returns to Seven at 7.30 Mondays from August 2. The new series Under the Hammer remains at 8pm.

Having Thank God You’re Here repeats on Tuesday nights, after Packed to the Rafters may only be temporary as the network ramps up promotion of up and coming series Parenthood. Popular both overseas and in downloads, the show is most likely to premiere 9.30pm Tuesday August 10. Both the 9.30 and 10.30 timeslots for that night show as TBA in advanced guides.

The extra and third episode of How I Met Your Mother on Thursday 9.30pm in the Sydney and Brisbane markets remains for July 29, while A Touch of Frost airs in AFL markets at 8.30pm that night, with How I Met Your Mother on at 7.30. Cougar Town airs at 10pm in Sydney and Brisbane and 10.30 in AFL markets, with True Beauty following an hour later.

A week later – Thursday August 5, the season final of Cougar Town will be aired, while the season final of True Beauty airs late August 12 – opening up Thursday nights on Seven for a complete new line up. Cougar Town’s timeslot sits as a TBA August 12.

After 2 weeks I am still trying to work out why channel 7 think it is acceptable to run 3 episodes of How I met your mother pushing Cougar Town back to 10pm. Who are the clowns running this station that can justify this? The channel 7 CEO thought Cougar Town would fail and it seems to me that he is doing all he can to make sure it does. Egos!
