Telstra has confirmed it will join Foxtel to bring the pay-television service to Telstra’s T-Box internet television platform, which was launched last month.
Chief executive of Australia’s largest telecommunications and media company, David Thodey, commented on the move at a party in Sydney last night to coincide with the launch:
“I’m delighted to say that we’re working with Foxtel to put Foxtel content on the T-box as well.
“Suddenly we’re opening up this whole, wonderful area of great television – we’re also working with a number of other providers to make sure it has this great experience going forward.”
iiNet has commenced IPTV with FetchTV, while Internode is expected to launch its FetchTV platform within weeks.
