Gutted. Ashton is gone.
Typically, if a house full of gorgeous young women was awoken at dawn by an older man wearing budgie smugglers splashing about in their swimming pool, one would fairly safely assume that the police would be en route rather quickly. This, however, is Australia’s Next Top Model and the man swimming lengths in their lap pool is Australian Olympian Michael Klim.
What a perfect introduction to the world of swimwear. Exercises that target the abs and gluts while standing in the cold water of the lap pool wasn’t on the girls list of ideal starts to the morning. How cold do they look, shivering uncontrollably. Anyone would think they hadn’t actually been given those wetsuits.
Swimsuit model Cheyenne Tozzi is in town for a Mambo Goddess shoot and just so happens to be available to coach the girls on working their bodies and make them look even more appealing in swimwear. Alas, poor Kimberly has some aversion to bikinis. Cheyenne rightfully tells her that bikinis are not one of the things in life you should cry over. It’s enough to make her want to leave though. While it was Sophie who asked her why she was even there if she didn’t want to participate, she’s also there to encourage her to stick it out after she’s had her moment blabbing to the cameras.
It’s all surprises for the girls when Alex Perry meets them at their challenge for this week. They’re backstage at a show. Alex talks her up before Megan Gale steps through a curtain to explain what’s going to happen. She’s casting for seven girls to walk for her new swimwear collection – Isola by Megan Gale. Two of the girls will be missing out. It’s not going to be Joanna missing out though. She’s Megan’s favourite and is awarded with 4 changes as well as opening and closing the show. Jessica and Amanda get 3 changes each. Chantal, Kelsey, Kimberly and Brittney. Kathryn misses out again as well as Sophie. Should we be feeling sad for Kathryn who is missing out on performing again?
Can I just place some additional emphasis on what Sarah Murdoch said about Amanda’s body. Hot! Seriously. Wow! Definitely needs to loosen up but can I say it again, wow! Alex adds another awesome comment with “Kim’s haircut has been the best thing to happen in her life, ever”.
Joanna wins 5 nights at a luxury resort in Queensland. That’s a pretty sweet prize.
It’s the swimsuit shoot day and when the girls get to the beach, Josh is wearing a long coat. It looks really cold. That doesn’t excite the girls at all. I don’t blame them. You certainly wouldn’t catch me at the beach in the winter going for a swim! But seriously, it’s all worth it. There are some fantastic looking photos. What’s more, Kelsey gets in on mocking and imitating Sophie. You can see the claws coming out over that later when she finds out. Before that happens though, Sophie gets dragged back to the salon where Josh wants to get rid of even more of her locks. She’s pretty mad. But somehow gets over it and then has an epiphany. She actually looks a lot better for it.
And here they are. The drool fest of photos from this weeks swimwear collection!

At the elimination, Megan comments that Jessica looks sexy, strong and amazing from the neck down but Charlotte snaps in with “there’s not much of a market for headless models”. Charlotte adds that Brittney has gone from a block of balsa wood to a bombshell. She rarely disappoints with her critiques doesn’t she?
Kimberly’s attitude this week is obviously a concern. She’s so good but suffers from a lack of self belief. Thankfully, she’s getting another chance. Bye bye Croccolodile!
