Application deadline extended for The Amazing Race Australia

Due to overwhelming interest, the application deadline for The Amazing Race Australia has been extended.

In addition to an unprecedented online response, and after hundreds of calls for extra time to prepare applications, producers have agreed to extend the deadline. Applicants now have until Friday, September 17 at 6pm to submit their entries.

Executive producer for Active TV Michael McKay says, “We have been overwhelmed by the number of applications we’ve received. In fact, our offices look more like an Australia Post sorting centre than a TV production centre.

“We have also been getting lots of requests for an extension, especially from country areas, and we want this race to be as accessible as possible. But beyond this there can be no more extensions so this is definitely the last chance to be part of The Amazing Race Australia.”

So grab your passport and your partner and submit your application for an amazing around-the-world adventure.

The Amazing Race Australia is a Disney format and will be produced in conjunction with Active TV. Production begins later this year.

    Hello Producers of The Amazing Race,

      my name is Wayne Hughes and I am a big fun of The Amazing Race.  When we had my best mate that The Amazing Race was coming to Australia we were so excited.  When we told our family and friends that we were going to apply for The Amazing Race, we got a lot of support from them all and they all said that we would be hard case and funny.

    My best mate is a female (gay) and Im male (bi-sexual), we are both kiwis too.  We would give all those aussie a run for there money thats for sure.  We have been best mates for about 7 years now.  We have had a lot of good times together and we have had our share of bad times together.  We would do anything for each other.

    Was dissappointed that we had missed the dead line date, because I had to go to New Zealand for a week then I was in Queensland for a week.
