In the wake of the controversy surrounding Aussie swimmer Stephanie Rice and her Twitter comments following the Wallabies victory over the Springboks, word has got out that Seven has opted not to renew their sponsorship of Rice.
The decision was made last month after a two-year deal ended which was understood to be worth upwards of $800,000.
Rice made a handful of appearances on the Seven network over the time, including a controversial stint on reality modelling show Make Me A Supermodel.
Her appearance on the show drew criticism, with many saying Seven should have prepped her for longer before thrusting her in front of the camera.
It is believed that Channel Nine recently had the opportunity to sign the Olympic swimmer but they decided not to go with her.
