Racy Glee photo shoot has parents group up in arms

GQ magazine’s latest photo shoot featuring several members of the Glee cast has caused a stir for its provocative content.

Lea Michele, Dianna Agron and Corey Monteith are featured in the shoot where short skirts and provocative poses are a recurring theme.

Not surprisingly the Parents Television Council is up in arms over the shoot despite the fact that all three members of the Glee cast are older than 23.

They are claiming that the photos “border on paedophilia” because of the fact that the trio play teenagers in the show and they are featured in posing in various high school settings.

“This is just the latest example of the overt sexualisation of young girls in entertainment,” the PTC said.

GQ’s editor-in-chief Jim Nelson said that the PTC should “learn to divide reality from fantasy”.

“As often happens in Hollywood, these ‘kids’ are in their 20s. Cory Monteith’s almost 30. I think they’re old enough to do what they want,” Nelson said.

Of course the TV show itself has never shied away from issues such as sex, disability and homophobia, openly featuring such themes on their shows.
