Ryan Shelton had decided to vacate his radio post in order to spend more time working with his production company, Radio Karate, alongside Hamish Blake and Andy Lee.
The former Rove team member made the announcement on air on Tuesday that he will leave the show at the end of the year.
“I signed up for one year and ended up staying for two,” Shelton said.
“Monty and Wippa are and always will be two of my closest friends and I’ll definitely miss seeing them at work every day but I’m excited about the chance to throw myself back into TV full time and re-engaging with all those opportunities.”
Shelton will work alongside Hamish and Andy in attempting to launch a show on an Australian network next year.
