Every summer, Benidorm in Spain braces itself for the arrival of more than five million holidaymakers – most of them British. This series follows a year in the life of some of those Brits – be they ex-pats who’ve gone out to establish businesses in the entertainment sector, retirees who’ve decided to end their days in the sun or tourists on their annual fortnightly package. The programmes examine the difficulties in merging with a foreign culture and the legal and financial complexities of the Spanish way of life.
