Seven News extended tonight for Christchurch coverage

Seven tonight will have a special one hour edition of Seven News, with Today Tonight at 7pm as they provide coverage of the Christchurch earthquake.

Home and Away will not be seen tonight.

In order to catch up with the missing episode, there will be a Home and Away double tomorrow night, Thursday Feb 23, with only one episode of How I Met Your Mother at 8pm.

Meanwhile, rolling news coverage continues on Seven, Nine and Ten , as well as ABC News 24 and Sky News. All are using New Zealand’s TV3 for coverage, except for Ten who are using TV ONE.

    It seems all networks switched to TVNZ’s coverage just before the press conference at 4:30pm AEST, but they have all switched back to TV3 just after 5pm. I have to say Hillary Barry has done an excellent job today.

    I’m guessing that Queensland will take the Sydney news builten (5pm-6pm AEST) and then have their own at 6pm.
