9:30pm – Wednesday, March 23 on ABC2
During this 6 x 57minute UK series, Britain’s Missing Top Model follows eight beautiful disabled women as they compete during seven tough modelling assignments. Their goal is to win a fashion shoot in top magazine Marie Claire which will be photographed by renowned photographer Rankin.
Open to any female who considered herself disabled, these eight women beat over 350 applicants to participate in the series. Mentored by industry pro Jonathan Phang, the women will be judged by Wayne Hemmingway, fashion-turned-property designer; Marie O’Riordan, Maire Claire Editor; Mark Summers, casting agent; and Lara Masters, disabled actor/presenter.
During five weeks of assignments the women must impress the judges or risk being eliminated.
In tonight’s episode, the remaining four girls have to pair up with professional male models and create a sense of intimacy in their photo shoot. And one of the girls feels constrained by her disability when undertaking a shoot for a commercial. With only three of them going through to the final week, continuing in the competition depends on the pictures they can produce.
