7:35am – Friday, April 29 on ABC3
Friday,29 April 2011 Relive the comical adventures of Rebecca (Melissa Howard), Sophie (Poppy Lee Friar) and Hazel Ainsworth (Alexandra Coppinger), three beautiful, strong-willed teenage sisters who just happen to be ghosts, during this repeat screening of Dead Gorgeous.
When the three sisters died in a tragic coach accident in 1861, alongside their beloved nanny Mildred, they thought it was obviously some sort of cosmic ‘glitch’. How could it have been their time to die when they were only just beginning to live? Taking matters into her own hands, Rebecca makes an application to the Ghost Council, the high court of the afterlife, requesting them to return her and her sisters back to the world of the living. But the afterlife is much like real life, bureaucracy is slow and forms get lost or misfiled. For the sisters, the wait was 150 years, stuck in limbo.
During episode one, 150 Years Later, the Ainsworth sisters Rebecca, Sophie and Hazel find themselves standing in their old home as ghosts. They are told by their guardian Agatha, that Rebecca’s request to the Ghost Council had been approved for them to return as “living ghosts”. The only problem – it’s now 150 years after their death and the family home has been turned into an international boarding school. Not only do the girls discover other kids in their home, they learn they can levitate, walk through walls and turn on a light without fire.
