The third season of MasterChef is set to begin this weekend with a chopper challenge on Sydney’s Cockatoo Island.
A helicopter lowers a one-tonne box of ingredients to the top 50 contestants in what Matt Preston describes as “the mother of all mystery boxes”.
The challenge will kick off the top 50’s bid to reach the top 24 of the series, which will require then to impress the judges with something special from the ingredients crate in just 45 minutes.
“Your job is to take these everyday ingredients and create something extraordinary,” Preston tells the contestants.
MasterChef begins on Ten this Sunday night at 7.30pm.
