The Cape tonight on 7mate. Friday night AFL for 7mate Regional NSW & QLD.

Don’t forget The Cape is on 7mate TONIGHT (Friday April 1) at 8.30pm with a two hour premiere episode. That is followed by the movie Slither, a free to air first.

Next Friday (April 8) on 7mate sees the return of The Event in a two hour special, from 9.30pm, right after The Cape at 8.30pm.

But what about those in regional NSW and regional QLD who had AFL on 7mate from 8.30pm last Friday?

Well – they miss out. I have confirmation from Prime7 that the AFL will air tonight and every Friday night that there is Friday night AFL on. That may also include the game on the Thursday before Easter.

At this stage, there are no plans for 7mate Prime to air The Cape or any other new Friday night programming at another time.

Note that some TV guides are NOT showing the AFL being on 7mate in regional NSW and QLD tonight. These guides are incorrect.

Again – the AFL is definitely on 7mate regional NSW (and QLD presumably) tonight, and every Friday night there is Friday night AFL.

    I suspect it was a case of “not enough were interested enough to watch”. You only need to see the figures for these games in Sydney and Brisbane to figure that out :-)

    I don’t get it. According to Prime7 TV guide and the AFL website, tonight’s game is still on 7mate in regional NSW and QLD at 8.30pm local time.

    Could be the TV guides are wrong – but I did notice during the week that the AFL showed as being on 7mate at 8.30 this Friday and now it has changed to The Cape. That was looking at the guides for Central Coast/Newcastle (where I am), then looked at Wagga – more likley to show the AFL, as well as Gold coast and Sunshine coast in QLD.

    Anyway, have put the question to Prime7 – it’d be bad for Prime7 if it is their programming on their own web sites that turns out to be wrong!
