Home and Away kicked off the week in true style. A drug bust, Romeo getting arrested and some water police action. What more could we ask for?
Now when Romeo decided he would take Heath out on his little “fishing trip”, well I think we all knew it was going to be a bad idea. After the dodgy job Roo did on fixing the engine, he was more than a little desperate for the cash. Once Charlie overhears about Heath’s fishing trip and gets a tip off that a drug deal is happening, she is slightly suspicious. Although I do love the bit where she is sitting in her office with her feet up eating, she is quick to jump into action and gather the crew. This of course involves doing a little investigating (and flirting, obviously) with Brax, which then tips him off that the cops are on to them. Honestly Charlie, why must you give out all your good information? Brax talks Heath out of going on the fishing trip, and letting a few other river boys who ive never seen before handle it. I must say though, I noticed that for the first time ever, Heath was wearing a shirt!! It was only a singlet, but still, they must have found some money in the budget this week to buy the guy some clothes.
Charlie assembles the water police (I thought they were seperate from the normal police, but oh well), and they come speed boating in just as the river boys are dumping drugs into the water and Romeo is standing there like an idiot. Charlie jumps onto the boat and starts handcuffing people like there is no tomorrow. She is some what of an action woman thats for sure. Theres a lot of questioning down at the station that leads to absolutlely nothing, Morag rolling her eyes at how stupid Romeo is and Charlie trying yet again to threaten Brax while looking lovingly at him (um, I don’t know if that will work…?)
I’m honestly not sure what was funnier about all this, Charlie trying to suss out whether it’s her boyfriend or her daughters boyfriend that’s involved (thats the trouble when a mother and daughter date brothers!), when Roo offers to mentor Romeo and Morag laughs in her face, or when Indy casually mentions to her Dad that Romeo kind of got ‘caught up’ in a drug bust today.
Oh and Marilyn does some hunting around trying to locate Nicole, but Miles stands his ground. I love that Miles gets straight to the point and tells her he can’t tell her where she is, “since you know, you kidnapped the baby last time”. That’s some fair reasoning needless to say.
Drug busts disguised as fishing trips, questioning at the police station and post-baby kidnapping blues.
Just another day in Sumer Bay…
