Former McLeod’s Daughters actors Rachael Coopes and Jonny Pasvolsky have been cast as brand new presenters on long running children’s television program, Play School.
The duo will begin their stint during a series of special episodes dedicated to the show’s 45th anniversary.
On being given the position, Coopes said this was ‘her dream job’ and that she is ‘grateful for the chance to be a part of Play School’.
She hopes to inspire young kids to dream and use their imagination as the show did for her as a viewer.
The duo won’t be the first Australian stars to present on the show, which started in July 1966, with Georgie Parker, Brooke Satchwell & Deborah Mailman all serving a stint at some point.
The 45th birthday celebrations will air from July 4 with a special theme song composed by Justine Clarke and Jay Laga’aia making its debut.
