RPA on Channel Nine

Wednesday, June 8, at 8.30pm on Nine

RPA continues next week with four more stories of extraordinary patients and their amazing medical teams at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

In this episode on Wednesday, June 8, at 8.30pm on Channel Nine two courageous new patients reveal their stories, and in the final part of Chris’s story we find out whether a liver transplant is enough to save her life. We also revisit Julie, who tonight undergoes brain surgery to remove cancerous, life-threatening tumours.

Chris

Chris, 23, has been battling chronic liver disease for more than a decade and her only chance of survival is a new liver. Last week she received the call she had been waiting for and tonight she finds out if her new liver will be enough to give her a new lease on life.

Julie

Flight attendant Julie, 23, is about to embark on round one of her fight for survival. Scans have revealed cancerous tumours in her brain and other parts of her body. In part two of her story, she has surgery to remove two brain tumours.

Dimitri

Seventy-nine-year-old Dimitri arrives in Emergency with severe chest pains. He has a history of cardiac problems and an urgent investigation reveals the need for major heart surgery.

Judy

Due to repeated falls, Judy arrives at RPA believing she has eye problems. A closer look at one of her legs reveals the falls have nothing to do with her eyesight and everything to do with a tumour in her fibula bone.

The RPA series is narrated by Australian actor and artist, Max Cullen.
