Well tonight’s highlight was definately Mile’s dinner party. Miles, Leah, Marilyn, Morag, Elijah and newlyweds Romeo and Indy all gather at Mile’s place for a ‘welcome home dinner’ for Marilyn. Really…. a welcolme home party? Dont you mean a ‘sorry you got dumped and are back living with me’ party? Either way, there is a lot of wine consumed over dinner, and soon Marilyn and Miles are well and truly smashed. Much to Morag’s disapproval, Marilyn begins to dish the dirt on all the men in her life who have cheated on her. And warns Elijah that Laura is going to break his heart, ‘any friend of Roo Stewart’s can not be trusted’. Oh dear, I think there may be a bit of a theme going. Romeo and Indy leave the pity party, as do Leah and Elijah. Marilyn and Miles plan to continue drinking, until Miles passes out at the table. Party over. Morag subtley asks Marilyn if she believes Sid cheated on her, to which she replies that it was no coincidence that Sid went to Hawaii with Roo, came back and ended their relationship. Hmm, good answer, and right on the money too.
The next morning Miles looks like he is on death’s door, but Marilyn is as bubbly as ever. ‘How are you not hungover?’ Miles asks while groaning. “Oh I don’t drink alcohol very much”. Um, that doesn’t really explain why your not hungover now does it? Colleen overhears Marilyn make mention of Sid and Roo, and her gossip spreading hat is out of the bag. Lets see how long it takes for word to get round town shall we? Romeo and Indy are up and about, and Roo isn’t far behind them. Roo makes some comment about still being up at 4am, and how she knows that Romeo and Indy were still up too…. Eeeewwww. Then Romeo says something like ‘I told you we were being to loud’. Double eeeeewwwww. That is the most awkward living arrangement I have ever seen. Morag stops by to question Roo about Sid, and looks truly disgusted at her niece when she realises that Marilyn’s claims were true.
Irene and Bianca find out what April has been hiding, and why she has been so stressed lately. They urge her to talk to Xavier and tell him about her feeling’s for Dexter, but April can not bring herself to do it. Meanwhile Xavier is sulking around town and giving Dexter the third degree. Dexter finally talks April into telling Xavier, and the two plan on telling him together. They stop for a kiss, and this is of course the moment that Xavier comes around the corner and catches them in the act. I swear people in Summer Bay have some seriously great timing skills, they always know just when to walk in at the right moment! Xavier loses it, and Dexter almost gets his head punched in. Gina finds Xavier down on the beach later on, and comforts him. Now I’m starting to feel sorry for the poor boy, actually now that I think about it, hasn’t this happened to Xavier before? Twice?
