Home & Away - Wednesday 13.7.11

Tonight’s episode is set mainly in the hospital… not a big surprise, especially if you live in Summer Bay. Accidents just seem to happen way more often here than any other place. And for a small town, well that hospital must make a fortune. After Xavier’s scooter crash last night, both he and his passenger Summer are recovering in hospital. Xavier has a banged up face (really nice job on that make up team), and Summer has a broken wrist. A worries Gina and John are at Xavier’s side, but he soon snaps at John and pulls the old ‘I don’t have to listen to you, your not my father card’. Ahh, nice one. John is all hurt and disappointed, until Summer’s father has a go at Xavier and John is able to jump in and play hero. He even calls Xavier his son, and hey, all of a sudden all is forgiven! Someone who doesn’t give Xavier such an easy time though is Brax, who rightfully fires Xavier. After all, the kid did talk back to his boss, run off in the middle of his shift, steal a scooter and crash it. I think that’s rightful termination really.

Morag is doing her usual sleuthing around, and has her sights set on Brax and Charlie. Morag has read the two of them, seen the signs and knows they are hooking up. After a coffee with her step daughter Charlie “this was lovely, we should do it again sometime” (and by lovely, I mean awkward), Morag is worried that Charlie is leaving herself ‘exposed’. She goes by the restaraunt to have a cocktail (but then orders a scotch, which last time i checked is not a cocktail!), but is really there to grill Brax. She asks a million questions, he mutters something about them being similar and both protecting the people they care about, they share a weird ‘knowing’ look and that’s that.

Brax takes out his stress on Casey, pushing him about his study and doing well in the HSC. Casey fights back with the fact that they are living out of a motel room and he has nowhere to study. Fair enough call really.

Meanwhile the rest of the River Boys come together to talk about Brax behind his back. Brax’s involvement in the restaraunt, ditching his family and his secret relationship seem to be changing his hard exterior. Heath is sure that his brother has forgotten what they are doing (and by this I’m guesssing he is refering to that whole illegal drug farm they have going?), and seems to be trying to get the rest of the boys on side. Something tells me that there is about to be a hostile takeover for leader of the River Boys….?
