Whatever this week threw at us will be nothing compared to what we are about to face. Australia, we are about to enter an onslaught of reality television; launches, finales, special events and extended episodes litter the schedule and we can expect a bit of a backlog when it comes to me blogging them, but more on that later!

Let’s begin by recapping the week that was and as it enters its finale, Dancing With The Stars pitted the contestants against each other with not one, but three dances (MINIMUM!). After each of the stars performed their routine, they were asked to have another go before entering a Dance off which saw the four contestants enter a three-round duel with one another in order to win points for the final ranking.

Unfortunately for Samantha Armytage, her fun loving charm was unable to provide her a seat in the finals which I guess is a good thing; this is a dancing competition, and she really couldn’t dance all that well.

MasterChef Australia had a pretty huge week as well with three contestants leaving throughout the course of the week and one returning!

After a mystery box/ invention test combination, Billy was sent to elimination with Hayden and Mat but ultimately, the king of desserts faltered and was sent packing!

Network TEN was finally able to legitimately release the results of the immunity test BEFORE THE AIRING OF THE EPISODE! As it turns out, Dani won the pin but will later give it up in Thursday’s elimination!

On Wednesday, before the teams split up in a French v English cuisine cook off, sneaky little Mat was disqualified for sneaking a phone onto the set. Big no, no Mat! Luckily, this meant Billy could return! He competed with the red team who successfully won the contest, sending the blue team consisting of Kate, Dani (who used her immunity pin, remember!! :D ), Peter, Hayden & Michael into elimination.

After three rounds of cooking (as you do on MasterChef!), Peter was sent home based on a slightly worse off Apple Pie than Kate.

Pretty big week, hey, but maybe not as big as The Amazing Race Australia. The show saw the robbery of the surfers, the ending of the extended leg and the elimination of Chris & Anastasia, the most controversial team of the lot.
Well, maybe that wasn’t so huge but as it heads for its final weeks, it’s good to note that with only five teams left, it’s going to be dog eat dog from here on in!

Australia’s Got Talent finished off their semi final series with a bang. Not only did The Bandit, Adam Hynes and Wayne Rodgers make it through to the grand final, but we also saw acts from singers, acrobatics and even an old man on a really long pole!

Lastly, The Block is cruising along doing its own little thing with Shelley & Scott spewing out challenges all over the joint; it’s a wonder these contestants have even been able to start on their second room!

So much reality and do you know what; we’re about to get it super sized!

It all kicks off with the whopping three hour finale of Dancing with the Stars. Not much to say here except for those of you slacking off on updating your DWTS scorecard; it’s Haley Bracken, Damien Leith & Manu Feildel fighting it out for that coveted trophy! Who will win? Well in a day and three hours, we’ll know.

MasterChef kicks off a week in New York and while I don’t know how this week will unfold (thanks to a tightlipped TEN) all I know is that it is bound to be huge with Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday’s episode extended in one form or another!

We also have the launch of another renovation style reality program and no, it’s not The Renovators just yet; instead Nine has snuck in another brand to compliment The Block; it’s Jamie Durie’s Top Design. Not quite sure what’s going to happen, so we’ll find out when we find out.

On The Amazing Race Australia, doing the maths, I don’t think it is possible for there to be another non-elimination leg, so we can be almost certain someone is leaving. According to the promotions, it is kind of implied that a team will leave, or come close to leaving before the pit stop! But this could all be a misunderstanding on my part, definitely looking like a good episode nonetheless.

The Block has another judgement day, this time for the second bedroom; can Polly & Waz dig themselves out of their hole? It’ll be a tough one!

Australia’s Got Talent also heads into finals week part one. It seems to me that this show needs at least three or four weeks of finals to get a winner, but I think there is only two parts as usual, so we’ll probably see a winner soon!

So with all that out of the way, this week, there are a few unavoidable pre-emptions to my blogging schedule. As you may know, I go to extreme lengths to provide you with as reliable a blogging source as possible, but sometimes my life or scheduling gets in the way of things. Unfortunately, this week is one of those weeks in which both factors play a part so unfortunately there will be some delays to blogging schedules. This list includes, but is not limited to nor completely confirmed, certain problems and outcomes thereby occurring:

-          Dancing With The Stars is a 3 hour finale event and therefore, I may not blog MasterChef Australia until the morning after. Chances are however, I’ll end up blogging it after DWTS and getting it out of the way!

-          On Monday Night, The Block crosses over with MC which in turn crosses over the first fifteen minutes of The Amazing Race. If I watch The Block, I have to tape MasterChef. As The Block runs through half of MC, it is impossible for me to make it to the end of MC before 8.30 and therefore, I cannot tape The Amazing Race (as MC will be taping its last 15 minutes and I can’t tape two things at the same time), well, not the first fifteen minutes anyway. In this case, I will have The Block and MC up on Monday night and what I might do is blog as much of The Amazing Race as I can, saving me to watch on line, and just update the blog in the morning with the stuff I missed.

-          As far as I know, Tuesday is as normal.

-          Wednesday is tricky. With The Block & Top Design running until 9.15 and a 90 minute episode of MC, I may leave MC until Thursday however that means it won’t be up until well past 1pm.

-          I’m fairly sure Thursday and Friday will be fine.

So I am so sorry for the inconveniences that could possibly be caused next week; I will try to minimise the effect these have by blogging ASAP, but I cannot promise anything at this stage. Again, I’d like to extend my deepest thanks to all of my dedicated readers for your continued support in what I do. It’s not a hard job, but it can be quite a big one at times!

Until tomorrow, have a good weekend!

Just a reminder, as we enter the final weeks of MasterChef, the contest is REALLY heating up! To celebrate the top eight of MasterChef, AndrewB will be running a poll on the main page of this website (Throng.com.au of course!) asking for your opinion on who will take out this season! The poll will be refreshed each time someone is eliminated, so make sure you keep checking back and having your say!
The poll can be found where the poll is usually found!
