The Red Dwarf crew of Dave Lister, the last human being in the universe, Rimmer, the hologram of his former crewmate crewmate a creature called Cat who has evolved f , a creature called Cat who has evolved from rom a pet he smuggled on board and Kryten a mechanoid a pet he smuggled on board and Kryten, a mechanoid servant, stumble into deep space. In series 5 the crews encounters evil and not particularly bright versions of the crew, an alien squid that squirts a despair-inducing hallucinogen, a virus that causes insanity, and a trip to a moon created entirely from the mind of the unbearable hologram Rimmer.
