Update: Prime Minister's address on Seven

 

Channel Seven has the controversial new carbon tax covered with a one-hour Seven News special set to air this Sunday, July 10.

The broadcast will include a live telecast of Prime Minister Julia Gillard as she unveils details of the tax and the likely impact on families and businesses across the nation.

Featuring Seven’s political editor Mark Riley, Sunrise host and finance expert David Koch and political analyst Graham Richardson, it will provide comprehensive coverage of the most significant political announcement this year. The broadcast will be anchored by Mark Ferguson.

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane: 12pm-1pm

Adelaide: 11.30am-12.30pm

Perth (7TWO): 10am-11am 

 

A separate address to the nation by Prime Minister Gillard on the carbon tax will also be broadcast on Channel Seven at 6.30pm on Sunday immediately after the 6pm news bulletin. 

The Leader of the Opposition, Tony Abbott, has been guaranteed right of reply. The timing is still being negotiated.
