9:30pm – Friday, September 9 on ABC2
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in this particularly irreverent Yuletide episode of Misfits.
Community service is finally over and it’s time for our favourite delinquents to settle back into normal life – albeit with superpowers.
Out in the miserable world of work, not much is happening on the estate a week before Christmas until Alisha (Antonia Thomas) spots some graffiti offering ‘Cash For Powers’.
At the address advertised Alisha meets Seth (Matthew McNulty), a drug dealer who was also struck in the storm and now has the ability to remove and give powers – for the right price, of course.
Meanwhile, chief misfit Nathan (Robert Sheehan) is looking forward to a dull Christmas as an unconvincing Santa, when he meets a new, very pregnant, girlfriend.
Elsewhere, Seth is now dealing powers instead of dealing drugs and that leads to a whole lot of craziness.
Even the reluctant Simon (Iwan Rheon) is persuaded to trade powers which turns bad when the gang are robbed by a gunman working for ‘Jesus’, a disillusioned and now crazed priest (Howard Hogg) who bought several special powers from Seth to serve his ministry.
The misfits confront Seth with a view to regaining their special powers or maybe even different powers.
