This week Ruth is in Kent helping the Rogers family bring Riverhill Manor back to its former splendour. The house is an 18th century rag stone manor set in 130 acres of historic gardens. Four generations of the Rogers family live there including 87-year-old great grandmother, Evelyn Rogers, who has lived in a house in the grounds since the end of World War II.
But over the past 60 years Evelyn has seen the once magnificent treasured estate fall into disrepair. Riverhill is struggling to keep the elements at bay. It’s in desperate need of money. Her grandson, the current heir, Ed and his wife Sarah also live on the estate with their children. Sarah has the ideas and the enthusiasm to get the job done, but as the newest member of the family it’s a struggle for her to implement change. Can Ruth turn things around for them?
