    Interesting to see GO! promoted at Friday nights’ big NRL clash between the St George Dragons and Melbourne Storm, with the LED advertising reading “GO! Dragons” in red and white, and then “GO! launches August 9″. Dragons won the game :)

    So glad they will still be showing Charlies Angels. Was really disappointed that it isn`t on this weekend. Hope they show plenty more classics from the 70`s and 80`s so a new generation can enjoy viewing shows that were just plain entertainig and light hearted!:-)

    Good to see a new tv channel 99 Go!, I wish they can put to air some of the great classics from the 50′s through to 80′s such as classic westerns from the 50′s and 60′s “Wanted dead or alive” “Wyatt Earp” “Gunsmoke” ect’ ect’ and such as great classic dramas from the 70′s & 80′s like “columbo” “streets of san francisco” “land of the giants” and soooo many great comedys from all those era. but of course this is only a wasted wish as they will not air any of these great classic

    GO – you are fantastic. At last some entertaining TV. Turned to GO channel last Sunday to hear about all the shows that will be on – can’t wait! My daughters and I are all lined up for tomorrow night and we’re excited. Well done – you go GO!

    If anyone thinks that classics from the 70′s and 80′s is boring and no1 will watch them, does not know what they are talking about. how WRONG you are, I personally know heaps of people that would rather watch the classic television shows from the 50′s through to the 80′s I spend hundreds of dollars every few months buying classic television shows from the USA at http://www.moviesunlimited.com and I spend hours watching them classics instead of the rubbish that’s on tv now.

    There are a few really good shows particually on Tuesday night with Survivor which 9 is several sesons behind on.

    The best thing about GO is you can pretty well leave it on any time of day without worrying about infomercials, pre school kids shows or annoying 9am morning shows.

    Survivor will have rated very well for GO. We’ll start seeing some ratings for GO in two weeks from now.

    Go!99 is great to watch every evening. But why on earth is everything repeated during the day, I am from the baby boomer era,I am a retiree and there must be at least 75 per cent baby boomers at home during the day and aged care hospital patients all over Australia that would love to see the great classics from the 50′s through to the 80′s
    There are many thousands of older generations and middle aged, people at home during the daytime that would prefere to watch classic tv series and classic movies during the day, than repeats from the previous nights. Channel Go!99 could be the best channel on air if they can just have the courage to show the great classics that used to be around in the 50′s 60′s & 70′s They should do a survey to see what people prefere to watch during the day. Who want repeats??? or stupid boring Morning shows, So come on Channel 99, get your act together, before you start losing too many veiwers.

    @ Arthur G – that’s not a bad idea, maybe a future channel one day. GO is aimed for the 16-39 year old market, and initially programmed in what they call block programming meaning they repeat blocks of porgrams at different times. On weekdays the previous days’ 6pm – 12 midnight programming is repeated from 9.30am – 3.30pm. And the morning programming 7am – 9.30am seems also to be repeated from 3.30pm – 6.00pm.

    Go will no doubt improve with time, as this is just the so called soft launch, They plan to launch it properly in October which will see new shows added and changes and improvements to programming.

    CHannel 7 should also be launching their new digital channel in October as well, which may be aimed at an older audience with more classics or may be a family oriented channel.

    i wish they would put the cartoons from when i was a kid, rather the the crap kids have to watch these days… rug rats, angry beavers, AHH real monsters, hey Arnold, Arthur, captain planet, the muppets, to many to name them all there was so many great shows from when i was a kid!!!

    im 16 years old and would just like to say that it doesnt have all that much interesting stuff on it. i would like to some variety on there coz all this american reality stuff is not going to do well. its like they took all the worst shows from foxtell n put them in this channel. yes, there are some good shows but lots of them are just the same reality or american rubbish.

    This channel is a great idea! What would make it even better though would be to make this channel REALITY FREE!!! I think there should be another channel dedicated to reality TV. I have enough reality in my day to day life that a TV channel dedicated to classic TV Shows like “Family Ties”, “Golden Girls”, and all the sitcomesque shows from the 50′s to now would be in high demand. When ever I turn the TV on and get a reality show I change the channel to something else. I want to be entertained. I want to laugh and forget my day to day life for just 30 minutes. Love what you have done with bringing back The Nanny, Seinfeld, Bewitched and so on – so keep those up! Just add more :) and don’t repeat them the next day – find enough shows so you don’t have to do this!!

    GO! Is pretty good, however, there could be a lot of changes made- put some more interesting shows on instead of bachelor and all that boring trivial crap-so lame! The only really good time to watch is Thursday night for GG and The hills do alright too. I think you should put shows like- Dawsons creek, 90210, Gilmore girls, Sex in the City, One tree hill, the OC etc and then the old classics like Are u being served?, faulty towers etc and then recent movies like Giffith and phoenix, freedom writers, comedy films and drama. Put more looney tunes on for younger children and easy watching shows & ur viewers/target market will grow!

    Arthur I personally know heaps of people who would rather watch a blank screen than shows or movies from the 50′s-80′s. Does that mean you are wrong and everyone has that same opinion? There is no right or wrong when talking about opinions and preference. And TV today isn’t ‘rubbish’, you just like the shows from your generation better. I much prefer today’s TV and find most old shows relentlessly boring, but I can’t just call it rubbish.

    I think GO! is headed in the right direction, but like someone said, to really draw a regular audience, a couple of changes need to be made to target the group they are going for. I think they are missing the mark a little but with reality shows like the Bachelor.

    Good to see some of the old cartoons to, Marine Boy that has not been around for years. no one has shown it for what longer than 10 years now good but forgotten show.

    I like how you theme days to particular groups, scifi, womens shows etc

    I heart go so much its got a heap of diff shows and lots of stuff they took off the other channels. Im 16 yrs old and I love some of the older shows like just shoot me, seinfeld and the nanny spec the nanny which roxs ;) and so LOVE vampire diaries. Thou like someone else mentioned they do repeats which is ok sometimes if i did not get to watch it night before but sometimes real annoying. I think go should have a day were the mostly play Anime stuff possibly a sunday cause at mo its boring with the old time cartoons which i dont like and please take of flinstones and jetsons cause they suck. i also like if a show finshes early u play a music vid i like that :)
    So yea Go at mo is good but if they do what i suggest then it wil be better.

    Go mention that it’s an australian first. Chanel 9 years ago started nip/tuck but stopped it half way through season two. They should continue from where they left off. Also foxtel was showing nip/tuck. So it’s far from an Australian first

    Omg how can you not like the flinstones! Not a fan of the jetsons but seriously the FLINSTONES?? I love the flinstones as much as the other shows on GO! I hope they don’t take flinstones off coz its awesome but I wouldn’t mind if they took off jetsons.

    What’s happening with the Bachelorette? I phoned 2weeks ago and asked chanel 9 go where is bchlrrteas it was listed on the t.v guide and internet for thursday 1pm and today thur 1pm nov 5. . I sat down and OMG it’s not on again.! So disappointed.

    Bachelorette is on Wednesdays at 1pm. It’s not uncommon to have last minute program changes. Not sure what happened this week though.

    They are only now starting to show season 17 and the 20th season is starting soon it the US so they are tring the catch up I think. It didn’t rate well enough for the main channel but is one of GO’s best shows.

    Elly, FOX8 airs Gossip Girl before Nine or GO can. They are about to show season 3. Go is still trying to get through season 1. They may bring it back over summer and continue.

    Not sure what is happening with Gossip Girl – it just isn’t anywhere in the schedule at the money. I would hope that they put it back Thursday nights as 3 episodes of Drop Dead Diva is overkill – unless they are giving it the Survivor treatment and trying to finish off the series.

    I was looking forward to the Bachelor special on GO! last night (Tues 2nd March) and once again, Go has changed its programming at the last minute after advertising it to be screened on that night!!!     I just Googled it for answers and got your post in my results.
    They did this with the last Bachelor and I ended up missing the 2nd last episode! I found it on the American website though (and realised how far behind we are at the same time!)

    Yes Andi, I agree…. Go! is disappointing viewers already … Seinfeld and the likes are funny but they are repeated endlessly … other channels give us the same drivel over and over .. why cant The Bachelor and Bachelorette be screened. They are fresh shows. I know heaps of people who are waiting for them to come back. Fair GO!!!!!

    It is quite disappointing that people like me and Julia Pearce have requested that something interesting be put on GO, for example the Bachelor, and our requests are COMPLETELY ignored by this Channel. Can you at least tell us why this show is not screened. Bachelorette and Tool Acedemy are two other shows that were quite entertaining. Waiting for your response. Thank you.

    Where has Go moved Gossip Girl to? Their website is a joke. By the time you actually find somewhere to leave feedback, up pops a message that it takes 24 hours for your message to be ‘approved’ to be published on the website. not only does channel nine show blatant disregard for its viewers, but it censors any criticism.

    @ leesha – 1am is a repeat of 10.30pm. They do that to give viewers different options. Gossip Girl on GO is season 2. There’s about 5 eps left in the season for GO.

    GO! have played all episodes of Vampire Diaries from Season 1. Season 2 starts in the US later this year, and will probably end up on GO than as well.

    I was so disappointed when Dirty Dancing wasn’t showed last night (29th July) as previously advertised. Instead we got 3 hours of “the big bang theory”!!! Not a great way to start a new channels if they continue to not follow the TV guide!!!

    The change from Dirty Dancing to Big Bang Theory was so last minute that it still showed as Dirty Dancing in the ratings (I changed it manually in the ratings report).

    What makes these last minute changes worse, is that GO for Thursday night (July 29) set a new ratings record for a digital channel – this means expect more changes like this, and especially more Big Bang marathons.

    Nothing against the show, but they are playing WAY too many episodes a week now, and it is over kill.

    I asked when Human Target is coming back and said that the latest guides didn’t have it in and then the next day they say that it is back next Wednesday at 8.30pm.

    Tonight on GO!, after an all new Wipeout season 3 at 7:30 is a double of Adults Only Two & A Half Men, then Spartacus followed by the last night of Dark Blue on GO!. It will continue on its new home, GEM on Tuesday November 2nd at 10:30pm.

    GO! has done a little juggling on its scheduling which will see Fringe‘s premiere now delayed to Wednesday November 10th.

    Fringe was due to return to GO! on Thursday Oct 28 but some TV Tonight readers noted it would compete with sci-fi series Caprica on 7mate and was better in its traditional Wednesday slot.

    This amendment returns it to Wednesdays at 9:30pm.

     

    Not sure if The Listener will go as well with this hope so. What the heck is Dark Blue moving to GEM ?

    Crazy move for Dark Blue, seeing only 2 eps to go for S1. Wonder what will be on GO at 10.30pm Wed or if they will double up Spartacus to make it finish a week earlier.

    Expect alot more of these crazy Nine-GO-GEM changes over the next 6 weeks as NIne try to win the ratings rat race for 2010.

    I was just wondering whether my tv’s epg (electronic program guide ) is correct.

    It is saying a repeat of Gossip Girl on Monday and a repeat episode of Human Target on Wednesday.

    Have they changed it again… or is my tv’s epg wrong ?  If it is a repeat why is this so ?

    Not sure if this is the right place to post this but hopefully someone can help.  Sad but true, I’ve never watched an episode of Star Trek, and I see that Channel Go are airing them from the beginning.  It looks like Episode 5 is on today (Saturday) so what I’m wondering is if it’s on every day and if so, does that mean that it started on Tuesday (wouldn’t Monday make more sense?)  It seems to be on late at night during the week and then in the afternoon on the weekend.  Can anyone clarify??  Thanks!

    Rob – Striking Distance is correct – seems I am missing an amendment from GO maybe…

    As for South Park on NYE, I think they have played all their availble episodes too many times so that may be a reason not to… although I thought a Big Bang marathon might have been a good idea for NYE- but again I guess they get saved for nights where people are at home.

    More major changes. Yes – an amendment had gone astray. Big Bangs every Thursday 7.30, movies 8.30 Thur, movies 10.30 Tue after Community. GO now has movies every night again, except for Mondays.

    If they play them in order from Dec 26, when they are going back to the start, season 3 might end up being on GO in a few months or so. Depends on how many per week they end up showing, and if they stick to the order. More of a wait and see than a definite answer unfortunately.

    Community is not in the schedule at all – so far we have programming up to Sat Jan 22. No word as to when it may return although GO! say it is part of their 2011 line up.

    I’ve been into that Sparticus series, it’s tight! I never was a fan of Two and a Half Men. That show just exploits Charlie Sheens addictions, and to me, that’s not cool. My girlfriend owned a coply, and I put it up on Angie’s List, it sold for $10, she was angry. It was worth it to me though  I do kind of like How I met your mother though, that show makes me laugh. That’s an all star cast there too.

    The GO Sunday line up is screaming for changes – don’t get the Big Bang/Middle/Big Bang/middle mix from 7.30 in any case.

    my goodness! I can’t believe what a poxy station GO! is! Once upon a time TV stations had a bit of respect for the watching public and would actually tell us what the hell they were doing – when a show was going off air for a time, and when it was coming back on. Now, they do whatever the heck they want to.

    I could have done something fun with my night but I sat around waiting for fringe to come on only to find that it’s off AGAIN!! I wasn’t even sitting around watching TV so pushing up the ratings; fringe is one of only three programs I watch, but this channel doesn’t seem to be interested in sharing what THE HELL IT’S DOING!! so now I have to find something else to do when I could have been well and truly into a book by now.

    Good one GO! You suck at communicating.

    Thanks to the nice guy who at least explained what was happening. Shame the GO! website didn’t have the courtesy to do that…

    Georgia – Vampire Diaries is on a break in the US – so there are no new episodes to air yet.

    It returns in the US on April 7, which means it should be back on GO! Monday April 11th – assuming they keep it on Monday nights, and fast track the way they have so far.

    GO! are yet to issue an amendment to cover the following week. Current programming says Hellcats and PLL for March 29. But with Survivor on March 22, and the promotions attached to it, you’d expect it to return on March 29. And we are far enough behind in Survivor for there to be doubles for a few weeks yet.

    Chances are, on Facebook, they looked up the programming for March 29 and just stated what is there. They need to issue an amendment to change it.

    Kinda hoping they put both shows back to Mondays like they used to be, and leave them there to re-build audience.

    With TVD back Alril 12 (presumably), the old Monday night would be back – 7.30 Hellcats, 8.30 PLL, and 9.30 TVD. Movies at 9.30 until TVD returns. And then keep it that way until they run out of episodes.

    Anyway, that’s what I’d do!

    Last year around September-October I saw promos on the GO! channel for their future lineup which included the well-reviewed Timothy Olyphant show Justified. Does anyone know when that series is scheduled? It made a few TV critics’ best-of-2010 lists at the end of last year, including Time magazine’s and Entertainment Weekly’s, and 1,918 users on IMDb gave it an average rating of 8.9 out of 10. I believe the Nine network owns the Australian rights so why aren’t they showing it?

    AFHVS Daily Edition -looks like its now gone as of the 29th , even thouigh my Panasonic  EPG still lists it on that date, so we’re now back to just   regular AFHVS on Saturdays on 9 as of next week.

    Our whole family loves The Middle but why are GO showing so many repeats.  Surely there are more episodes than the ones you keep playing over and over.  Only Sunday nights episodes seem to be new ones.   Also 6.30pm is not t he best timeslot.  8.00pm would be a far better time slot for this fabulous and hilarious show.

    So if the pilot of $#*! My Dad Says is on Monday at 9pm (and assuming they want to keep it in that slot), where will Vampire Diaries go when it returns?

    I really thinks Nine’s erratic programming last year has led to the downfall of nearly every show Nine has launched this year. People don’t want to watch a new show (Million dollar drop, LFPE, #$% my dad says, This is your life) because they know it will be axed.

    OTOH, Seven who rarely make programming changes have had massive new hits with Winners and Losers and Conviction Kitchen, among others.

    Tanya – if you are referring to The Vampire Diaries, GO always air it straight after it airs in the US. In the US it is on a Thursday night, we get it the next Monday.

    I would be VERY surprsied if they held it off.

    Only change so far today is Survivor Encore 11pm Sat 2nd. Yes – it is going ahead. It is an official amendment from Nine/GO!.

    $#*! My Dad says so far on 9pm Mon 4th and 11th.

    Survivor Redemption Island is a double episode April 5, only one episode Tuesday April 12.

    8.30pm Tuesday April 12 is still a TBA – so no – we do not know what will be on then so far. Hoping it will be Pretty Little Liars though, even though Survivor - PLL is a bad mix in terms of lead ins.

    Still say that PLL, Hellcats and TVD should all be on Monday nights together - all appeal to similar audience.

    I can’t find Fringe in any time slot in the tv quide for April.  Will it be the TBA Tuesday time slot.  There are still two episodes that have been shown in the us and not here.  Waiting for dvd sounds like a good idea, at least you can watch a full season without being beholden to tv execs.

    When are they going to put The Vampire Diaries on, dammit? The episodes air a week after they air in the USA, don’t they? On April 7, “Know Thy Enemy” aired, so The Vampire Diaries should’ve come back on April the 14th, in Australia. Now I’m thinking that maybe The Vampire Diaries will air on April the 21st…we’ll just have to wait and see if they’ll air it. Please keep checking your guide and if anyone finds the date as to when The Vampire Diaries comes back on, please TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    There is a TBA slot at 8:30pm Tuesday night, both for 19th & 26th of April. I have a feeling (and fingers crossed) that VD will either return in that slot, or even better they may move a Monday night show (maybe the Shatner show) to Tuesday and slot in VD for Tuesday 18th. I’m having serious withdrawals here, get it together GO!

    Still no word on the TBA at 8.30pm on Tuesday April 19 and 26.

    GO! say that Fringe will air once they have enough episodes to play out the remainder of the season without any weeks off – that means it should air in May.

    As for Vampire Diaries, I suggest they will also wait until May.

    Hopefully in May they’ll get most of these new shows on – some of which have been promoted as coming to GO since December last year.
