The Australian subscription television ratings record has tumbled for the second time in 2011 overnight, with FOX SPORTS’ coverage of the second semi-final of the Rugby World Cup drawing an average audience of 719,000 viewers.
The LIVE and UNINTERRUPTED broadcast of the Wallabies 6-20 defeat to the All Blacks on FOX SPORTS 3HD and FOX SPORTS 3 became the most watched event in Australian subscription television history, surpassing the previous record average audience mark of 531,000 set by the Super Rugby Final on July 9.
