The final three contestants on The X Factor battled it out on stage last night, debuting their potential winner’s singles and also performing alongside some of music’s biggest stars. Tonight either Andrew, Reece or Johnny will be crowned The X Factor 2011 winner.
Last night’s show opened with the Top 12 returning for an exclusive performance with Australia’s pop princess, Kylie Minogue. Kylie and the contestants performed a medley of her hits Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, Better The Devil You Know and All The Lovers.
Finalist Andrew Wishart from Seaford, Victoria, performed his stunning audition song, Someone Like You by Adele, before taking to the stage with US band The Fray to perform their massive hit song You Found Me.
23-year-old Johnny Ruffo from Perth showed off his signature dance moves alongside the ladies from Salt N Pepa, performing a medley of their hits Shoop and Push It.
16-year-old Adelaide school boy Reece Mastin closed the show dueting with Kylie Minogue an experience he described as “Incredible! Kylie is such a legend and it was an unreal experience.”
All three contestants debuted their potential winner’s single, with tonight’s Grand Final show determining who will be The X Factor 2011 winner and a recording contract with Sony Music.
The X Factor concludes tonight with a huge Grand Final show at 7.30pm. Expect to see some surprise guests as well as more performances from Kylie, The Fray and judge Guy Sebastian.
