Beckham and Kewell to face-off live on Fox Sports

The biggest name in Australian football will take the field against world football’s most recognised superstar when FOX SPORTS delivers LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of Melbourne Victory’s clash with LA Galaxy next Tuesday night.

English superstar David Beckham is heading Down Under for the third time in his storied career and Australia’s Sports Leader will be the only place to see the famous number 23 in action in what could be his final appearance for US club LA Galaxy.

Beckham’s MLS champion Galaxy team are playing their third exhibition match in five years in Australia, but on this occasion the star midfielder faces a showdown with arguably Australia’s greatest football export, Harry Kewell.

Kewell’s Melbourne Victory climbed to third position on the Hyundai A-League ladder with a 3-2 victory over Gold Coast United last Sunday and has struck form on the eve of their battle with the reigning US champions.

FOX SPORTS will deliver LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of the match from 7.30pm AEDT on FOX SPORTS 1HD & FOX SPORTS 1, followed by a special screening of FOX SPORTS FC from 9.30pm AEDT.

The match will be Galaxy’s first since claiming its third MLS Cup with a 1-0 victory over Houston Dynamo just nine days ago, which was the club’s first championship since signing Beckham in 2007.

Beckham’s two previous matches in Australia have both been for Galaxy, in 2007 against Sydney FC and last November against Newcastle Jets.

FOX SPORTS coverage of Melbourne Victory v LA Galaxy is available in HIGH DEFINITION for FOXTEL and AUSTAR subscribers.
