With only one week left on The X Factor for 2011, the final four contestants are desperate to make it to the Grand Final next week. Last night they had to perform two songs each – one uplifting and one heartbreaking – for the theme ‘Pleasure and Pain.’
Andrew Wishart kicked off the show with his version of Animal by Neon Trees, with mentor Natalie Bassingthwaighte saying, “I thought you were fabulous. The other judges are just scared you’re going to this all the way.”
Johnny Ruffo wowed the judges with So Sick by Ne-Yo with judge Ronan Keating saying, “You’re a dark horse and you could win this!”
16-year-old Reece Mastin got back to his rock roots with a blistering performance of the Guns N’ Roses classic Paradise City, with Mel B saying, “You’re back, brother!”
Three Wishez got the audience pumping with the Black Eyed Peas song The Time (Dirty Bit) with Guy Sebastian saying, “You came out and smashed it! That was fantastic!” Mentor Ronan Keating said, “You’ve shown Australia that you could win this.”
Stevie Nicks will perform on tomorrow night’s results show alongside the UK’s Florence + The Machine plus Ed Sheeran who will perform his current Top 5 hit, The A Team.
Tonight’s show will reveal the Top 3 finalists, who will battle it out on next week’s Grand Final shows featuring the one and only Miss Kylie Minogue!
The X Factor continues tonight at 7.30pm.
