The X Factor said goodbye to its sole remaining Under 25 girls contestant tonight, with 15-year-old Christina Parie being voted out of the competition. Christina landed in the bottom two against 16-year-old Reece Mastin, but after singing for her life was sent home by three out of the four judges.
Christina’s mentor, Mel B, was devastated to lose her last contestant saying, “Christina is one of a kind and I believed in her from day one. She’s got such soul and charisma, this won’t be the end for her.”
In a teary goodbye, Christina, from Castle Hill, said, “I just want to say thank you to Mel for dealing with me and I think we need more girl power in Australia! Next year, there has to be a girl at the top! I’ve had the most amazing time and I’m definitely not going to give up after this!”
As the Grand Final nears, there are now only five finalists left in the competition, including all three of Guy’s Under 25 boys. Both Natalie and Ronan each have one finalist left in the competition.
Next week, the final five contestants compete in Legends week with special guest performers Susan Boyle, Michael Bolton and Ricki-Lee Coulter.
