Pamela shares her secret for cooking duck, ensuring the crispiest skin, which has been developed through trial and error in the Test Kitchen. This salad is a taste sensation; combining crispy duck, plum sauce, with the sharpness of peppery watercress and the sweetness of mango.
Elle Vernon checks out the latest news from the fruit and veggie markets- tomatoes, including cherry tomatoes are particularly good this spring/summer. Mangoes are so good this season; wholesalers are calling it ‘mango madness’. Meaning plentiful, juicy and prices will continue to fall.
This week’s Celebrity cook is Better Homes and Gardens’ Tara Dennis, with her favourite recipe, Lemon Syrup Cake. Tara stumbled across the recipe while visiting a country caf� and after eating the cake, begged the owner for the recipe. The cake is super-moist, absorbing over a cup of syrup after it is baked.
Glenn Wheeler road tests kitchen gadgets to help separate the good from the bad. This week he puts Graters through their paces. He trials a few varieties, before both Damien and Glenn experiment with onion grating and how to avoid the tears.
