
Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey has stated that he would consider extending his contract which expires in May, as long as producers abide by some conditions.
The actor, who has headed the series since it began eight seasons ago, would want to spend more time with family and do other things.
“I have a family to support, and why not have a discussion about continuing. The question is will I do a full season, a half season or come back at all?” he told America’s TV Guide magazine.
“There are a lot of things I’d like to do: racing, films … so if I’m able to balance all those things and continue on with the show, why not?”
He also claims that so called ‘TV experts’ who say he is leaving the show ‘have it all wrong’.
Dempsey, who also stars in the latest Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, is a loved cast member by fans however is yet to sign any deal.
Grey’s Anatomy will return on Seven in 2012.
