Who's Line Is It Anyway? Comedy night coming to ONE.

Some changes to ONE coming up for the week of Jan 8 -14 with Monday nights being over taken by comedy.

On Monday January 9, ONE will feature improvisational comedy game show Who’s Line is it Anyway? hosted by Drew Carey. Two episodes will air from 7.30pm, replacing Psych.

At 8.30 that night will be the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Presents: The Comedy All Stars Caberet, pushing Burn Notice out, and moving Blue Bloods back to 10.00pm.

Burn Notice fans fear not – especially as they have just reached episodes we haven’t seen – Michael and Fiona move to Wednesday nights at 8.30, replacing COPS: Adults Only which has held that timeslot for most of the time since ONE changed it format.

Psych fans, however – no good news as it appears to have disappeared from the schedule altogether – that’s not to say it won’t turn up on ONE or even ELEVEN in another timeslot, there just isn’t information on that yet.

The comedy night on ONE on Monday night is no doubt an experiment to see how it goes. The Comedy specials that air from time to time on Ten do OK – whether ONE lifts ratings on what has been one of its lower rating nights as a result, is to be seen.

Non-ratings, however, is usually the time for networks to give things a go to see how the audience reacts. These days though, we see more reactionary programming clutching for every last ratings point that we do bold and interesting programming moves to see what viewers chose – even though officially it is summer non-ratings.

UPDATE: Same programming for Monday nights with Burn Notice on Wednesday nights continues the following week Monday January 16 and Wednesday January 18, 2012.
