Many fans of The View have asked that the US talk show be played on GEM when the cricket airs on Nine. Nine already air The Ellen Degeneres Show on GEM weekdays at 5pm, regardless of whether it has already aired on Nine at Midday.
Last summer, The View did air on GEM at 4pm on the weekdays that Nine was airing cricket preventing The View from airing at its usual time of 1pm weekdays. This year, that has no9t been the case.
From next week, with Nine encoring Excess Baggage at 1pm on some days, and cricket on others, Nine will move The View to GEM as a permanent measure.
From Tuesday January 31, The View will now air on GEM at 1pm weekdays. Ellen remains at 5pm. For those with Pay TV, however, The View airs at 11am weekdays on Arena while Ellen airs at 4pm on the same channel. Both are also replayed late night.
