America’s best legal drama returns with new episodes as The Good Wife’s Season Three makes its Australian debut.
Julianna Margulies reprises her Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning role as Alicia Florrick: a devoted wife turned independent mother, reeling from a very public infidelity scandal involving her husband Peter (Chris Noth). the State’s Attorney of Chicago.
The past two seasons have seen Alicia struggle with career and motherhood, re-enter the work force and discover that her husband hadn’t revealed the real extent of his wondering eye.
Now emancipated from her unsuccessful marriage, the last time we left our title character she had given in to her desires with Will (Josh Charles), a partner at her law firm, and college sweetheart, following a tequila induced celebration.
Another brilliant addition to the cast is Alan Cumming. Season Three sees Cumming’s character, the straight-talking Eli Gold take up a corner office at Lockhart/Gardner heading up a new crisis management division. Teaming up with firm investigator Kalinda (Archie Panjabi). they quickly become a force to be reckoned with.
